Vaginal speculum. Nickel-plated brass duck-billed bivalve speculum; hinged anterior blade extends at proximal end to form a straight handle; fixed posterior blade has a handle extending downward from bottom proximal end of blade; threaded rod is attached to this handle and passes through a hole in handle of anterior blade, controlling dilatation with thumb screw; blades can be reversed and can be used as a Sims' speculum; marked: "TIEMANN & CO."
